1% for the Planet, founded by Yvon Chouinard of Patagonia, is a nonprofit organization of businesses and individuals with the goal of creating a healthy planet.

As climate change and global warming continue to wreak havoc on our environment, we realized that as a company and citizens of Planet Earth, we each have a responsibility to proactively reduce our carbon footprint and to give back to sustaining the planet and nature conservation. And that’s why we decided to donate our time, services, product and 1% of our sales each year to help local and national non-profit organizations protect what is precious to us, our planet.
